He has won numerous awards, including the Cannes Film Festival’s Un Certain Regard Award for Best Film for After Lucia, the Silver Lion at the Venice Film Festival for Chronic, and the Silver Bear at the Berlin International Film Festival for April’s Daughter. He is also the founder of the production company Mantarraya Producciones.
