Warren Murphy (1933-2015) was an American author and screenwriter. He is best known for co-creating the long-running “Destroyer” series of novels with Richard Sapir, which follows the adventures of a New Jersey cop-turned-assassin named Remo Williams. Murphy also wrote numerous other novels, including the “Trace” series and the “Digger” series, as well as several standalone works. In addition to his work as a novelist, Murphy also wrote for television and film, including the screenplay for the 1985 Chuck Norris movie “Invasion U.S.A.”
