Tom Mankiewicz (1942-2010) was an American screenwriter, director, and producer. He is best known for his work on the James Bond films “Diamonds Are Forever” and “Live and Let Die,” as well as the superhero film “Superman” and the comedy “The Pink Panther Strikes Again.” Mankiewicz also worked on several television shows, including “Hart to Hart” and “The Love Boat.” He was the son of Joseph L. Mankiewicz, a renowned filmmaker and screenwriter.
