    Ted Koehler was an American lyricist and songwriter, born on July 14, 1894, in Washington, D.C. He is best known for his collaborations with composer Harold Arlen, including the songs “Stormy Weather” and “I’ve Got the World on a String.” Koehler also worked with other notable composers such as Jimmy McHugh and Rube Bloom. He passed away on January 17, 1973, in Santa Monica, California.
