    Bio:

    Robert Penn Warren (1905-1989) was an American poet, novelist, and literary critic. He was the first poet laureate of the United States and won three Pulitzer Prizes for his work. Warren was a member of the Southern Agrarians, a group of writers who advocated for a return to traditional Southern values and agrarianism. He is best known for his novel “All the King’s Men,” which won the Pulitzer Prize in 1947 and was later adapted into a film. Warren was also a professor of English at several universities, including Yale and Louisiana State University.
