    Bio:

    Norman Reilly Raine (1894-1971) was an American screenwriter and novelist. He is best known for co-writing the screenplay for the film “The Adventures of Robin Hood” (1938) starring Errol Flynn. Raine also wrote the screenplay for the film “The Life of Emile Zola” (1937), which won the Academy Award for Best Picture. He wrote several novels, including “The Holy Terror” (1929) and “The Bishop’s Mantle” (1947). Raine was a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and served as president of the Screen Writers Guild.
