    Mary Rodgers (1931-2014) was an American author, composer, and screenwriter. She is best known for her children’s book “Freaky Friday,” which has been adapted into multiple films and stage productions. Rodgers also wrote several other books for children and young adults, as well as composing music for Broadway shows and television. She was the daughter of composer Richard Rodgers and was married to Henry Guettel, with whom she had two children.
