He was born on September 21, 1906, in Hungary and died on August 15, 1980, in New York City. Farago worked as a foreign correspondent for several newspapers and magazines, including the New York Herald Tribune and Time magazine. He authored several books, including “The Broken Seal,” “Patton: Ordeal and Triumph,” and “The Game of the Foxes.” Farago’s works were known for their detailed research and insider knowledge of the intelligence community.
