Ken Kesey was an American author, best known for his novel “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.” He was born in 1935 in Colorado and attended Stanford University, where he participated in experiments with psychedelic drugs. Kesey’s experiences with LSD and other drugs influenced his writing and his countercultural beliefs. He became a prominent figure in the 1960s counterculture movement and was a member of the Merry Pranksters, a group of people who traveled across the country in a psychedelic bus. Kesey died in 2001 at the age of 66.
