    Bio:

    Joseph Kessel was a French journalist and novelist, born on February 10, 1898, in Villa Clara, Argentina. He is best known for his novel “The Lion,” which was adapted into a film in 1962. Kessel also worked as a war correspondent during World War II and covered conflicts in Spain, Ethiopia, and Indochina. He was a member of the French Resistance and received numerous awards for his work, including the Grand Prix du Roman de l’Académie française. Kessel died on July 23, 1979, in Avernes, France.
