    Bio:

    James Hilton (1900-1954) was a British novelist and screenwriter. He is best known for his novels “Lost Horizon” and “Goodbye, Mr. Chips,” both of which were adapted into successful films. Hilton also wrote several other novels and screenplays throughout his career. He was a member of the Royal Society of Literature and was awarded the Hawthornden Prize for Literature in 1934. Hilton passed away in 1954 at the age of 54.
