Hillary Jordan is an American novelist and screenwriter. She was born in Dallas, Texas in 1963 and grew up in Oklahoma. Jordan earned her MFA in Creative Writing from Columbia University. Her debut novel, “Mudbound,” was published in 2008 and won the Bellwether Prize for Fiction. The novel was adapted into a film in 2017, which was nominated for four Academy Awards. Jordan has also written two other novels, “When She Woke” and “The Impossible Lives of Greta Wells,” as well as several screenplays.
