    Bio:

    Frances Goodrich (December 21, 1890 – January 29, 1984) was an American playwright and screenwriter. She is best known for her collaborations with her writing partner and husband, Albert Hackett, including the plays The Diary of Anne Frank and The Great Big Doorstep, as well as the screenplays for the films The Thin Man and It’s a Wonderful Life. Goodrich and Hackett were nominated for three Academy Awards for Best Adapted Screenplay and won the award in 1951 for their work on Father of the Bride.
