    Bio:

    Florence Ryerson (1892-1965) was an American playwright and screenwriter. She is best known for co-writing the screenplay for the classic film “The Wizard of Oz” (1939) with her collaborator Edgar Allan Woolf. Ryerson also wrote several plays, including “The Bad Man” (1920) and “The Butter and Egg Man” (1925). She continued to work in Hollywood as a screenwriter throughout the 1940s and 1950s.
