Douglas Kenney was an American writer and comedian, best known as a co-founder of the National Lampoon magazine and a writer for the hit movie Animal House. He was born on December 10, 1946, in West Palm Beach, Florida, and attended Harvard University where he met his future National Lampoon co-founders. Kenney died tragically at the age of 33 in 1980 while on a hiking trip in Hawaii.
