    Bio:

    Arthur Sheekman (1901-1978) was an American writer and humorist, best known for his work as a screenwriter in Hollywood during the 1930s and 1940s. He wrote for several popular films, including “A Night at the Opera” and “A Day at the Races,” both starring the Marx Brothers. Sheekman also wrote for radio and television, and authored several books, including “The Family Bedlam” and “The Great Quillow.” He was known for his witty and irreverent humor, and was a frequent contributor to The New Yorker magazine.
