    William LeBaron (1881-1958) was an American film producer and screenwriter. He was a pioneer in the early days of the film industry, producing over 100 films between 1915 and 1950. He was also a prolific screenwriter, writing over 50 films. He was known for his ability to create entertaining stories with a strong moral message. He was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Picture for his work on the film Cimarron (1931). He was also the first producer to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
