    Bio:

Val Lewton (1904-1951) was a Russian-American film producer best known for his work in the horror genre. He is credited with creating the “Lewton Bus,” a technique of building suspense by withholding the revelation of a monster until the last possible moment. He produced a number of classic horror films, including Cat People (1942), I Walked with a Zombie (1943), and The Body Snatcher (1945). Lewton’s films are known for their psychological complexity and subtlety, and he is widely considered one of the most influential horror producers of all time.
