    Bio:

    Serge Silberman was a French film producer and executive producer who worked in the French film industry from the 1950s to the 1990s. He was best known for producing films such as The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie (1972), The Last Metro (1980), and The Name of the Rose (1986). He was also a key figure in the development of the French New Wave movement, producing films such as Breathless (1960) and Jules and Jim (1962). He was awarded the Legion of Honor in 1988 for his contributions to French cinema.
