Park Chan-wook is a South Korean filmmaker, screenwriter, and producer. He is best known for his Vengeance Trilogy, which includes the films Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance (2002), Oldboy (2003), and Lady Vengeance (2005). He has also directed the films Thirst (2009), Stoker (2013), and The Handmaiden (2016). Park has won numerous awards, including the Grand Prix at the Cannes Film Festival for Oldboy. He is considered one of the most influential filmmakers in South Korean cinema.
