Jacobson began her career in the entertainment industry in the early 1990s, working as an assistant at Disney and then as a creative executive at Universal Pictures. She went on to become president of production at Disney, where she oversaw the production of films such as The Chronicles of Narnia and Pirates of the Caribbean. Jacobson has been nominated for several awards, including an Emmy and a Golden Globe.
