Matt Groening is an American cartoonist, animator, writer, producer, and director. He is best known for creating the animated television series The Simpsons, Futurama, and Disenchantment. Groening has won 12 Primetime Emmy Awards, 11 for The Simpsons and one for Futurama. He has also received a British Comedy Award, a Peabody Award, and an Environmental Media Award for his work.
