Lou Adler is an American music producer, songwriter, and film director. He is best known for producing the iconic albums of The Mamas & The Papas, Carole King, and Cheech & Chong. He also produced the classic films The Rocky Horror Picture Show and Up in Smoke. Adler has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame. He is also the recipient of a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.
