    Hildegarde Stadie was an American film producer who worked in Hollywood from the 1930s to the 1950s. She was best known for producing the classic films The Wizard of Oz (1939) and The Philadelphia Story (1940). Stadie was the first female producer to be nominated for an Academy Award, for her work on The Philadelphia Story. She was also the first female producer to be honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Stadie was a pioneer in the industry, paving the way for future generations of female filmmakers.
