Don Siegel was an American film director and producer best known for his collaborations with actor Clint Eastwood. He directed a number of classic films, including Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956), The Killers (1964), Dirty Harry (1971), and Escape from Alcatraz (1979). He was also a prolific television director, helming episodes of The Twilight Zone, The Untouchables, and The Fugitive. Siegel was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Director for his work on the 1971 film, Two Mules for Sister Sara. He died in 1991 at the age of 78.
