Don Bluth is an American animator, film director, producer, writer, and game designer. He is best known for directing animated films such as The Secret of NIMH (1982), An American Tail (1986), The Land Before Time (1988), All Dogs Go to Heaven (1989), and Anastasia (1997). Bluth began his career as an animator for Walt Disney Productions, where he worked on films such as The Rescuers (1977) and Pete’s Dragon (1977). He left Disney in 1979 to form his own animation studio, Don Bluth Productions, which produced several successful films. Bluth has also worked on video games, including Dragon’s Lair (1983) and Space Ace (1984).
