Davis Guggenheim is an American film and television director, producer, and writer. He is best known for directing the documentaries An Inconvenient Truth (2006), Waiting for Superman (2010), He Named Me Malala (2015), and the television series Deadwood (2004–2006). He has won an Academy Award, two Emmy Awards, and a Peabody Award. Guggenheim has also directed feature films such as The Kid Stays in the Picture (2002), The Last Mountain (2011), and the romantic comedy-drama, It’s Complicated (2009).
