David Weisbart was an American film producer and editor who worked on over 100 films during his career. He was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Picture for his work on the classic film, “An American in Paris” (1951). He was also the first editor to be credited as a producer on a film, for his work on “The High and the Mighty” (1954). He was known for his innovative editing techniques and his ability to bring out the best in a film. He died in 1966 at the age of 59.
