Craig Zadan was an American producer, director, and writer. He was best known for producing the Academy Award-winning films Chicago and Hairspray, as well as the NBC musicals The Sound of Music Live!, Peter Pan Live!, and Jesus Christ Superstar Live!. He was also a prolific producer of television series, including Smash, Parenthood, and the Lifetime series Drop Dead Diva. Zadan died in August 2018 at the age of 69.
