    Bio:

    Charles Lane was an American film director, producer, and screenwriter who was active in Hollywood from the 1920s to the 1950s. He directed over 100 films, including the classic comedies It’s a Gift (1934) and My Man Godfrey (1936). He also produced and wrote several films, including the Academy Award-nominated The Farmer’s Daughter (1947). Lane was known for his fast-paced, witty dialogue and his ability to bring out the best in his actors. He was inducted into the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1960.
