    Bob Rafelson is an American film director, screenwriter, and producer. He is best known for directing and producing the classic films Five Easy Pieces (1970) and The King of Marvin Gardens (1972). He also co-wrote and directed the cult classic The Monkees television series (1966-1968). He has also produced films such as Stay Hungry (1976), Black Widow (1987), and Man Trouble (1992). He has been nominated for two Academy Awards and has won numerous awards throughout his career.
