He is best known for writing and directing the science fiction films Gattaca, The Truman Show, and S1m0ne, as well as writing and producing the dystopian drama In Time. He has also written and directed the films Lord of War, Good Kill, and Anon. Niccol has been nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for The Truman Show.
