Amy Tan is an award-winning author and producer best known for her 1989 novel, The Joy Luck Club. Tan has written numerous other books, including The Kitchen God’s Wife, The Bonesetter’s Daughter, and Saving Fish from Drowning. She has also produced several films, including the feature film adaptation of The Joy Luck Club and the documentary, Searching for Asian America. Tan is an advocate for Asian American representation in the media and has been honored with numerous awards for her work.
