Adam McKay is an American filmmaker, producer, and screenwriter. He is best known for his collaborations with Will Ferrell, with whom he co-wrote the films Anchorman, Talladega Nights, and The Other Guys. He has also directed the films Step Brothers, The Big Short, and Vice, for which he won an Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay. He is the founder of the production company Gary Sanchez Productions.
