Well, let’s just say William Keighley’s ROI ranking is so low, it’s like trying to find a needle in a haystack…if that haystack was made up of 1,999 other directors. And with a status of F-List, it’s safe to say he won’t be winning any awards anytime soon. Sorry, William.
William Keighley was an American film director who worked in Hollywood during the 1930s and 1940s. He directed over 70 films, including the classic gangster film “The Roaring Twenties” (1939) starring James Cagney and Humphrey Bogart. Keighley also directed several films for Warner Bros. during the Golden Age of Hollywood, including “The Prince and the Pauper” (1937) and “The Adventures of Robin Hood” (1938). He retired from directing in 1953 and passed away in 1969.
