He was known for his collaboration with his brother Paolo Taviani, with whom he directed several award-winning films. Their films often explored themes of social and political issues in Italy, and they were known for their use of non-professional actors. Some of their notable works include “Padre Padrone,” “The Night of the Shooting Stars,” and “Caesar Must Die.” Vittorio Taviani passed away on April 15, 2018, in Rome, Italy.
