    Bio:

    Roger Michell is a British film and television director, producer, and writer. He was born on June 5, 1956, in South Africa and grew up in Beirut, Damascus, and Prague before moving to England. Michell began his career in theater before transitioning to film and television. He is best known for directing the films “Notting Hill,” “Changing Lanes,” and “Venus,” as well as the television series “The Buddha of Suburbia” and “The Lost Honour of Christopher Jefferies.” Michell has been nominated for several awards, including a BAFTA for Best Direction for “Notting Hill.”
