Bio:

Roger Allers is an American film director, screenwriter, and storyboard artist. He is best known for co-directing the Disney animated feature film “The Lion King” (1994), for which he also co-wrote the screenplay. Allers has also worked on other Disney films such as “Beauty and the Beast” (1991) and “Aladdin” (1992). He has also directed the animated film “Open Season” (2006) and the stage adaptation of “The Lion King”.
