    Bio:

    Robert Rossen was an American film director, producer, and screenwriter. He was born on March 16, 1908, in New York City and died on February 18, 1966, in Hollywood, California. Rossen is best known for directing films such as “All the King’s Men” (1949), which won the Academy Award for Best Picture, and “The Hustler” (1961), which earned him an Academy Award nomination for Best Director. He was also a screenwriter for films such as “The Strange Love of Martha Ivers” (1946) and “The Brave Bulls” (1951). Rossen was known for his socially conscious films that explored themes of power, corruption, and morality.
