Well, let’s just say Robert Bresson’s ROI is so low, it’s like trying to find a needle in a haystack…if that haystack was made up of 1,999 other directors with better returns. And with a status of F-List, it’s safe to say he won’t be making any blockbuster hits anytime soon. Sorry, Bob.
Robert Bresson (1901-1999) was a French film director known for his minimalist and austere style. He began his career as a painter before transitioning to filmmaking in the 1940s. Bresson’s films often focused on the struggles of individuals in society and explored themes of redemption and transcendence. Some of his most notable works include “Pickpocket” (1959), “Au Hasard Balthazar” (1966), and “L’Argent” (1983). Bresson’s unique approach to filmmaking has influenced many directors, including Martin Scorsese and Michael Haneke.
