Kiyoshi Kurosawa is a Japanese film director known for his horror and thriller films. He was born on July 19, 1955, in Kobe, Japan. Kurosawa began his career in the film industry in the 1980s and gained international recognition in the 1990s with his horror films such as “Cure” and “Pulse.” He has won numerous awards for his work, including the Best Director award at the Cannes Film Festival in 2020 for his film “Wife of a Spy.” Kurosawa continues to direct films and is considered one of the most influential filmmakers in Japanese cinema.
