    John Lee Hancock is an American film director, screenwriter, and producer. He was born on December 15, 1956, in Longview, Texas. Hancock began his career as a writer for television shows such as “The Adventures of Brisco County Jr.” and “L.A. Law.” He made his directorial debut with the film “Hard Time Romance” in 1991. Hancock is best known for directing the films “The Rookie,” “The Blind Side,” and “Saving Mr. Banks.” He has also written and produced several films throughout his career. Hancock continues to work in the film industry and is considered one of the most successful directors in Hollywood.
