    John Landis is an American film director, screenwriter, and producer. He is best known for directing comedy films such as Animal House, The Blues Brothers, and Trading Places. He has also directed horror films such as An American Werewolf in London and Michael Jackson’s music video for “Thriller.” Landis has won numerous awards for his work in film, including a Primetime Emmy Award for his work on the television series Dream On.
