Annaud is best known for his films, including “The Name of the Rose,” “Seven Years in Tibet,” and “Enemy at the Gates.” He has won numerous awards for his work, including an Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film for “Black and White in Color” in 1977. Annaud is also a member of the French Academy of Fine Arts.
