    Harold Becker is an American film director, producer, and screenwriter. He was born on September 25, 1928, in New York City. Becker began his career in the film industry as a documentary filmmaker before transitioning to feature films. He is best known for directing films such as “The Onion Field,” “Sea of Love,” and “Malice.” Becker has also directed episodes of popular television shows such as “Law & Order” and “The Practice.” He has been nominated for several awards throughout his career, including a Golden Globe for Best Director for “The Onion Field.” Becker’s last film credit was in 2001 for the film “Domestic Disturbance.”
