    Well, Frank Capra may be on the F-List, but at least he’s in the top 50% of directors with a respectable 43% ROI. I guess he’s not quite ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ level, but he’s definitely not ‘The Bells of St. Mary’s’ either.

    Frank Capra was an Italian-American film director, producer, and writer who was born on May 18, 1897, in Bisacquino, Sicily, Italy. He is best known for directing classic films such as “It Happened One Night,” “Mr. Smith Goes to Washington,” and “It’s a Wonderful Life.” Capra won three Academy Awards for Best Director and was nominated for six others. He died on September 3, 1991, in La Quinta, California, at the age of 94.
