    Federico Fellini was an Italian film director and screenwriter. He was born on January 20, 1920, in Rimini, Italy, and died on October 31, 1993, in Rome, Italy. Fellini is considered one of the most influential and important filmmakers in the history of cinema. He directed and co-wrote several critically acclaimed films, including La Dolce Vita, 8½, and Amarcord. Fellini’s films were known for their surreal and dreamlike qualities, as well as their exploration of the human condition. He won four Academy Awards for Best Foreign Language Film and was awarded an honorary Oscar in 1993.
