Well, let’s just say Eiichi Yamamoto’s ROI is so low, it’s like trying to find a needle in a haystack…if the haystack was made up of 1,999 other directors. And with a status of F-List, it looks like Yamamoto might need to stick to directing cat videos on YouTube.
Eiichi Yamamoto was a Japanese anime director, screenwriter, and producer. He was born on June 7, 1940, in Kyoto, Japan, and passed away on September 7, 2021, at the age of 81. Yamamoto is best known for his work on the controversial and sexually explicit anime film, “Belladonna of Sadness” (1973). He also directed several other anime films and TV series, including “Cleopatra” (1970), “A Thousand and One Nights” (1969), and “Lupin III: The Secret of Mamo” (1978). Yamamoto’s unique and experimental style of animation has influenced many other anime directors and artists.
