    Well, let’s just say de Oliveira’s ROI is so low, it’s like trying to find a needle in a haystack…if the haystack was made up of 1,999 other directors with better ROI. But hey, at least they made it onto the B-List!
     

    Bio:

    Manoel de Oliveira was a Portuguese film director and screenwriter. He was born on December 11, 1908, in Porto, Portugal, and died on April 2, 2015, at the age of 106. He began his career in the 1930s and continued to make films until his death. De Oliveira was known for his unique style, which often incorporated elements of surrealism and existentialism. He was also known for his long takes and his use of non-professional actors. Some of his most famous films include “Aniki-Bóbó,” “The Cannibals,” and “The Strange Case of Angelica.” De Oliveira was considered one of the most important filmmakers in Portuguese cinema history.
