Cristina Gallego is a Colombian film director, producer, and screenwriter. She is best known for co-directing and producing the critically acclaimed film “Birds of Passage” (2018), which was selected as the Colombian entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 91st Academy Awards. Gallego has also produced several other award-winning films, including “Embrace of the Serpent” (2015) and “The Wind Journeys” (2009). She is considered one of the most influential filmmakers in Latin America.
